As a signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, Barbara adds the initials PSWC to her signature on her pastel paintings. This nationwide pastel society has only 138 signature members. She is also a juried member of the Pastel Society of America, headquartered in New York City.
Barbara's love for pastels has kept her focused on their use, limiting her activities in other favorite media. She often works out-of-doors, ("plein air"), but continues to create larger works in her studio. Many of these can be seen in local restaurants: the Pasta Fool in Sonora and Azzo's in Jamestown. Also look for her work in Brooks Framing and Art in Sonora and in the Main Street Gallery in Murphys, open only on weekends.
